Deep Cleaning

Before an incident occurs in a facility building, such as a school, office, hotel, airport, or retail store, deep cleaning of the building with Pro-Biotics is necessary to reduce and help prevent the colonization of pathogens on all touch point surfaces, if they should be introduced into the workspace. Pro-biotics continue to work on the surfaces for a period of 3 to 5 days.

  • Coronavirus is primarily transmitted in an aerosol / airborne droplet mechanism.
  • That being said, being a virus, it can exist on surfaces when a biofilm (such as a dry surface biofilm) is present.
  • The CDC has acknowledged (in 2008 and again in 2016) that disinfectants and most cleaners do not penetrate surface biofilms. When biofilm is present, the disinfectant cannot fully penetrate the biofilm and so the real efficacy of that disinfectant is substantially less than claimed on the label.
  • Coronavirus, lives in and on a surface biofilm in the absence of a living host, so, addressing surface biofilm is critical. Once the probiotics are applied to surfaces in conventional cleaning protocols, they rapidly colonize surfaces. Once on the surface, the probiotics out consume the available food and other resources and break down Biofilm so pathogens simply can no longer maintain, or establish a foothold.

The timeline of the environmental survival of the pathogen is an important consideration in the probability of ongoing infection risk, but often the cleaning is done as much for the public relations value to help ensure patrons and employees that the facility is hygienic and thus safe to enter and work.
